James Barry Weichman

November 15, 1951 — February 28, 2017

Jim Weichman passed away peacefully and with dignity at his home in the arms of his family in Vancouver, Washington.

He was a much loved husband of his wife Janice of 38 years. He was a loving father to son Dusten, Daughters Libby (Loe) and Erin (James). He was a very proud PaPa of Austen, Olivia, Averie and Rusten. Jim was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Barbara Weichman. He was the son-in-law to Arlene Rose and her late husband John (Jack) Rose.

Jim was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Beaverton. After attending Beaverton High School, Jim earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business at the University of Puget Sound. He later moved to Bend Oregon where he met and married his wife Janice. They raised their family for 14 years in Bend before moving to Ridgefield, Washington.

Jim had a lifetime career in Plumbing and Electrical Sales often traveling across Oregon and Washington. After retirement, he enjoyed working part-time employment at The Ridgefield Hardware Store which helped give him the privilege of staying connected to the Ridgefield Community.

Jim always cherished his family and especially his four grandchildren. He was an avid book reader and liked to keep informed with anything sports related. Jim took pride in and never missed any of his children's or grandchildren's sporting events. He often enjoyed gardening, spending time with his dogs, watching a "good ol' Western" movie, taking trips to the beach while also exporing the northwoest with his wife and family.

The Weichman family would like to give their gratitude to the wonderful and suppportive people at Hospice PeaceHealth that made it possible for Jim to be at home with his family. They also would like to thank the staff at Northwood Park Funeral Home.

At Jims request no service will be held at this time.
