Christopher Leroy Spence, 57, of Longview, passed away Jan 7, 2022, at St. John Medical Center.
He was born in Vancouver, Wash., to Elvin and Mary Spence, and lived in Vancouver until 2006 when he and his parents moved to Longview.
Chris attended Lieser Elementary School, Lewis Junior High School, and graduated from Fort Vancouver High School.
Chris worked at various jobs in janitorial/maintenance. He enjoyed every single job he had. His most recent employment was at Gallery of Diamonds and he volunteered at the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his parents, Elvin and Mary Spence of Longview; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim Spence and Heidi Whisman of Rochester, Wash.; a sister and brother-in-law, Angie and Aaron Marshall of Camas, Wash.; and two nieces, Carson Marshall and Sierra Spence.
Chris never met a stranger. He was the life of the party and always had a smile. Chris loved to travel with his mom, sister and her family. They went on many trips to warm destinations.
Chris helped out with many volunteer activities for Alaska Airlines with his sister. Chris loved to be around people. He looked forward to the Loyalty Days Parade in May in Long Beach, Wash. He was planning a picnic for the summer at his home in Longview. If you knew Chris, you knew he was planning a picnic. Most of all, Chris loved his family and was an all-around good guy.
The family will hold a celebration of Christopher's life this summer.
