On Sunday, August 28, 2022, Trang Minh Nguyen, loving wife and mother of three, passed away at age of 69. Trang was surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.
Trang was born on February 15, 1953 in Hanoi, Vietnam to Thuy Nguyen and Hoc Dang. She immigrated to the United States with her parents, oldest sister, brother-in-law, and nephew in April of 1975. The family settled in Longview, Washington where she eventually met her husband, Tam Dinh, and raised three children.
Many remember Trang’s gentle, giving nature and energetic personality. A dedicated mother and entrepreneur, Trang owned and operated a local grocery store and gas station in Longview for many years. No one will forget her selfless love towards all who crossed her path. She always made sure those around her were seen and supported. Trang enjoyed watching cooking shows, eating French pastries, attending church, window shopping for hours, and a good family celebration. She never let anything get in the way of achieving her goals, even teaching herself to swim at the age of 63.
Trang was preceded in death by her father, Thuy, her mother, Hoc, and her brothers, Long and Tien. She is survived by her husband, Tam, her children, David, Jane, and Nancy, her sisters Rosie Pham and Diane Hoang, her brothers Duc Nguyen and Thanh Nguyen, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Castle Rock, WA at 10:00am. Trang will be inurned at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Mausoleum C at Longview Memorial Park.
